The winter rain has certainly been a challenge during June (spare a thought or two for the team from Aoraki Construction working in amongst it all), but stage 1's roofing is all complete to help keep the units dry. Below is an outline of works on site over the past month.
Stage 1 (Terraces 51 -61) Progress is being made on all internal framing and in-wall services for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. Contractors have started to install metal cladding, windows and waterproof membrane to the balconies to ensure the units are watertight. Now that the roofing has finished, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems are being installed. Stage 2 (Terraces 6-21, 32-45 ):
Over the last month progress has been made on the Stage 2C structure with the installation of concrete panels, foundations and structural steel. Stage 2B has seen in-situ and CLT floors installed, the start of exterior framing and inslab services installed (drainage for waste, fresh and stormwater). All structure on stage 2 will be completed this month.
Stage 3 (Terraces 1-5, 22-31, 46-50):
Precast panels have been manufactured offsite, ready to be delivered and installed next month when stage 2 is completed. All structural steel is now onsite and ready for installation.
Apartmento:
Some progress! The foundations building consent has been approved by Wellington City Council, and the vertical build building consent is progressing with our project managers receiving RFIs (request for information) to close this phase for Apartmento.
Next month we say goodbye to our 250ft crane as it will be removed from site and replaced with a smaller crane to make space for the stage 3 panels to be installed.
